The Role

The Department Manager in Training role offers a clear pathway from 3rd in Charge through to Department Manager and will provide all the necessary training for you to feel confident in the role. You would be responsible for supporting with the day-to-day operations of the department, providing excellent customer service, recommending key lines or promotions to our customers, as well as supporting the Department Manager with coaching and leading the team.  

This is a permanent part-time position starting at 25 hours per week.

About You

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who are eager to progress their career in a retail supermarket. You’ll have:

• Food handling experience or fresh food retail knowledge
• Exposure to supporting or leading a team.
• A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Commitment to work health and safety standards
